The WBR is a registered not-for-profit company (NPC) that manages the affairs of the biosphere in terms of the requirements of the Man and Biosphere Programme under UNESCO. We are also registered with the Department of Social Development and have NPO status.

The WBR is also a Public Benefit Organisation (PBO) and can provide Section 18A tax certificates for donations.
